3-4 Program (not co-ed)

An introduction to Lacrosse through fundamental Fridays. Players will be divided into "in-house" teams and learn scooping, passing, and shooting along with basic athletic concepts and have fun! There are no games at this level. The ultimate goal at this division is to develop basic lacrosse skills and most importantly instill the love of the game early on.  Players are required to have a regular stick (no fiddle sticks). It is strongly recommended sticks are cut down to a total length of 36-37in.

Begins March 22 and runs on Fridays from 6-7pm at Seminary Turf.

Clinic In-House Program 5-6:

The 5-6 age groups will be divided into equal teams and play in an “in-house” format only playing other Lutherville Lax teams.

The emphasis will be on individual skill development and fundamentals of the game as well as key athletic concepts.  Players will be introduced to basic offensive and defensive team concepts in small sided games and drills.  Once we work up to games, we will not keep score.  The games are played on a shortened field 6 v 6 without a goalie and will end the season with 7 v 7, without a goalie.

All games and practices are held at the same LTRC facilities with Wednesday OR Thursday evening practices and Saturday morning games.

Tyker 7-8 In-House Program:

Teams will be formed after completion of Winter evaluations and will be divided into equal teams and play in an “in-house” format only playing other Lutherville Lax teams.  There will be a heavy emphasis on individual skill development and fundamentals.  Team concepts and field IQ will be introduced at this level.  Teams will play 7 v 7 plus a goalie on a modified field.  New for 2020- we will have referees so coaches can focus on coaching.  We are working to also play a limited number of games against other local Rec Council In-House Teams.

Practices will take place on Tuesday evenings with an optional Thursday development session.

Tyker 7-8 Travel Team:

Our goal is to form multiple girls teams in the 7-8 age group to compete in the MYLA travel program.  Competitive tryouts will be held prior to the start of the season for these teams.   Players may elect to play in-house as well, but it is not required.  All players registered in the 7-8 age group will be contacted prior to tryouts to determine their interest in this elective opportunity. In an effort to begin preparing for the launch of Girls Club/Development Teams in the Fall of 2020, these teams may be further organized by graduation year.

The emphasis will be on individual skill development and fundamentals of the game as well as key athletic concepts.  Players will receive additional instruction in offensive and defensive team concepts.  Teams will play 7 v 7 plus a goalie on a modified field.

If you are interested in travel, please sign up under normal registration process and indicate you are interested in travel when prompted by the registration system.
